Can we take a moment to appreciate Yzma. She is seriously evil throughout the movie, but when a guard asks to leave, she politely obliges. I can’t get over the fact that all the other guards are okay with being animals… “We’re good” This movie is so underrated; it probably has one of the best messages of any Disney movie. It is not about finding true love or anything, but rather about caring for other people and not being selfish. Kusco probably overcomes one of the most positive and drastic character changes of any Disney movie. His selfish actions smack us right in the face, and we realize that we often have the same mindset. His personality probably one of the most relateable personalities for first world teens because I’m pretty sure the average first world teen is not living with gorillas in the jungle or stealing food to eat on the streets of Agraba. So why is Kusco not one of the Disney princes? or even mentioned as a Disney hero?
